Help line: http://helpline-online.com/ or 800-327-5050- this is a great site where one can find treatment based on where they live in the state and what level of care they might need. This site also has links to resources for families including Learn to Cope and Allies in Recovery- this website is a good hub of information for substance use services and prevention.
There are also links to AA, NA and other self help groups on this site. – There are young people’s AA and NA meetings in MA and they can be found here:http://www.aabosmeetings.org/search.aspx

National Institute on Drug Abuse
– NIDA’s mission is to lead the nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction. NIDA’s website provides information on many drugs that are typically abused as well as information on related topics, fact sheets, and publications.
– They also have a “Student and Young Adults” section with the link to the NIDA for Teens website: www.teens.drugabuse.gov. The NIDA for Teens website provides facts and information on drugs, videos, and real stories about addiction and substance abuse.

Massachusetts Substance Abuse Information and Education Helpline
BSAS contracted with an agency to certify sober houses that meet certain standards. This will hopefully promote sober houses to meet those standards in order to receive referrals from state agencies. They just started the process of certifying the over 400 houses already in MA so the list on this site is short but growing!
